LEWISTON, ME — This Saturday, the Williams Men's Squash Team continued their Maine road trip to take on the #24 ranked Bates Bobcats. The team took care of business, winning 9-0. Eph head coach

Sophomore Nick Agger started off the first round of matches on the three court system for the Ephs. Agger had a slow start and dropped the first game. A couple lapses of focus had him down 2-1 in games. But he refocused and cleaned up his game to outlast his opponent in another 3-2 victory. Himanshu Pannu and Rafay Syed won clinically in three games, using their shot making to take down their opponents.
Next on court for the Ephs was Alex Akbari, who played another five game match. He lost the first two games, but then dug deep and played really clean squash to win in five. Co-captain Andrew Minnis in the one spot was able to continue his solid form to beat a good opponent 3-1. John Nicholson, took care of business in the nine spot, winning in three.
Finishing it off for the Ephs was first year Will Newton, who used his sharp attacking shots to win 3-0. Junior Asher Leavy made his return to the lineup in the five spot after dealing with illness and injury for the first half of the season. Leavy was psyched up and ready to go from the beginning, using his power and athleticism to outmatch his opponent, winning in a decisive three games. Cleaning it up again for the Ephs was co-captain Jack Lee who won in a tight four games.
The Ephs finish off their Maine trip by traveling to Bowdoin tomorrow fr a match slated tostart at noon..
