Clinton, NY - The Williams College Ephs (8-7-1, 2-6-1 NESCAC) suffered a defeat at the hands of the Hamilton College Continentals (9-8-2, 4-5-2 NESCAC) in a 4-1 loss.

Game Recap
- The first period opened up very back-and-forth between the two squads, and was quite offensively powered, with both teams firing off a number of shots.
- The Continentals took the advantage in the contest about midway through the second period, with Cuora Sullivan skating around the net to slip a shot past Erin Pye (12:02).
- The Continentals looked to continue their momentum when they went on the power play as the period came to a close, but the Ephs' penalty kill unit came up big and kept the game at 1-0 going into the third period (19:07).
- Seven minutes into the third period the Continentals scored again, growing their lead to 2-0 off of a rebound goal (7:00).
- Halfway into the third period the Ephs were given an opportunity to cut the lead via a power play—despite great shots from Charlotte Fetherson and Annie Gallagher, the Ephs were not able to cut the deficit with the man-up advantage (11:37).
- With five minutes left in the game and down two goals, Eph head coach Meghan Gillis decided to pull Pye to launch the comeback. The Continentals took advantage of the empty net and scored two quick goals to take a 4-0 lead down the stretch (15:05) (15:37).
- The Ephs closed the game with a goal courtesy of Lucie Bond and the contest ending with a 4-1 loss (17:35).
After the game, Eph head coach Meghan Gillis stated, "I thought we battled hard at points and let up at other points. Hamilton was consistently relentless and that was the difference maker today."
The Ephs will face the Continentals in Clinton once again tomorrow, with puck drop scheduled for 3PM.
