Williams Falls 1-0 to Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The No. 9 Williams College men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon. The loss moves Williams to an 8-2-4 overall and 5-2-2 NESCAC record.

Both teams went into halftime scoreless, with the Camels holding an 11–1 advantage in shots, though each side managed just one on target.

The Camels capitalized early in the second half, breaking through in the 54th minute when Marco Perugini found the back of the net to give Connecticut a 1–0 advantage.

Despite a late push in the second half, the Ephs couldn't find the back of the net as the Connecticut goalkeeper finished with three saves.

Spencer Mix, Evan Vasquez, and Kellan Grace each tallied a shot on goal to lead the Ephs' offense.

Goalkeeper Kai Darrell, recorded three saves for Williams, who were outshot 18-6 on the day.

The Ephs will look to bounce back on Tuesday, Oct. 28th, when they return to Cole Field to close out the regular season against Middlebury in another NESCAC matchup.
