HADLEY, Mass. - After going 12-2-4 overall, 7-1-2 in the conference and reaching the NESCAC championship game, the No. 10-ranked Williams College women's soccer team saw five student-athletes take home yearly NESCAC awards Wednesday.

First-year Maya Lloyd was named the conference's Rookie of the Year and to the All-Conference Second Team. Senior captain Paige Nelson and sophomore Elizabeth Stophel garnered All-Conference First Team honors, while senior captain Ansley Burns and first-year Lucy Carrel earned a spot on the Second Team.

Lloyd, Stophel and Carrel have combined for 20 goals, 11 assists, 51 points and eight game-winning goals this season. Burns has contributed with two goals and three assists, including a two-goal performance during a 4-0 triumph over Skidmore on Sept. 14 in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Nelson has been phenomenal on defense and in the midfield, as the Ephs have shut out 11 opponents.

Williams competes against John Jay during the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament Saturday at 11 a.m. on Cole Field.
