HADLEY, Mass. - After placing first overall with a time of 24:20.2 on the 8-kilometer course Saturday during the NESCAC Championship at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut, sophomore
Eli Welch of the No. 7-ranked Williams College men's cross country team was named the conference's Most Outstanding Performer Wednesday morning.
Welch also secured a spot on the All-Conference First Team, while sophomore
Malcolm Oakes placed eighth overall (24:36.4) and was named to the Second Team.
Senior
Nikhil DeNatale, who earned 2023 All-NESCAC First Team laurels, was named to the 2025 Second Team, covering the course in a time of 24:41.9 and finishing 10th overall. Senior
Luke Zanuck also cemented a spot on the Second Team, clocking a personal-best time of 24:47.9 and being the 13th runner to cross the finish line.
The Ephs will compete in the D3 Challenge Saturday (11 a.m.) at Stenger Farm Park in Waterford.
