MANAHAWKIN, NEW JERSEY – Alix Barrale's 2024 record breaking Williams College Field Hockey team that finished the season with a record of 16-1 and advanced to the NCAA DIII Tournament semifinals has exhibited equal success in the classroom. Barrale's Ephs have earned recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as a 2024 Division III Academic Team Award recipient.
This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
"As a coach, I couldn't be prouder of this team not just for their record breaking success on the field, but for the dedication they've shown in the classroom," Barrale stated. "The Academic Team Award is a testament to their commitment to excellence in all areas, proving that hard work, discipline, and teamwork extend beyond the game.
