Ephs Earn 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Team Academic Award

MANAHAWKIN, NEW JERSEY – Alix Barrale's 2024 record breaking Williams College Field Hockey team that finished the season with a record of 16-1 and advanced to the NCAA DIII Tournament semifinals has exhibited equal success in the classroom. Barrale's Ephs have earned recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as a 2024 Division III Academic Team Award recipient.

This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

"As a coach, I couldn't be prouder of this team not just for their record breaking success on the field, but for the dedication they've shown in the classroom," Barrale stated. "The Academic Team Award is a testament to their commitment to excellence in all areas, proving that hard work, discipline, and teamwork extend beyond the game. Balancing elite performance in both academics and athletics is no easy feat, and this achievement makes their historic season even more meaningful."
