GREENSBORO, NC—The Ephmen kept the ball rolling on the second full day of the 2025 Division 3 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Highlighted by
Oliver Schalet's 6th place finish in the 200 free. The day consisted of many notable swims. At the end of the night, the Ephmen sat in 13th place with 48 points.
First, in the morning session,
Barrett Heritage swam the 100 butterfly. With a strong finish, Heritage narrowly missed finals finishing 17th in a 48.22.
Oliver Schalet was the sole Eph in the 200 freestyle championship final. Coming off of a lifetime best time in the morning of a 1:47.00, Schalet had a strong swim touching 6th in a 1:37.49.
Ryan Nunez,
Colin Kavanagh, and
Carter Anderson swam the 200 free in the morning session finishing 20th (1:38.73), 31st (1:40.06), and 42nd (1:42.33) respectively.
The 200 freestyle relay was the last race to be swam in the morning session. The team of
Mason Green,
Barrett Heritage,
Theo Randall, and
Oliver Schalet took the blocks. Green started the relay off, as his NCAA debut swim, and touched in a 21.41. Heritage swam the second leg, blasting a 20.01 followed by Randall's 20.21. Schalet finished the relay off in a 20.34 for a combined time of 1:21.97. The squad finished 21st overall.
Competition continues tomorrow at 10am with the 200 medley relay, 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 800 freestyle relay, and 1 meter diving.
