The Short Story:
Under blue skies at Cole Field, the Ephs swept today's doubleheader against Trinity thanks to dominant pitching and explosive offense. Sadie Leonard threw a two-hit shutout in Game 1, recording 11 strikeouts, while a 7-hit, 6-run rally in the fourth inning powered the Ephs to a mercy-rule victory in Game 2. Williams pitchers allowed just three hits across both games.
Coach's Take:
"We played well in all facets of the game," said Eph head Coach Kris Herman. "[We] Played great defense and obviously hit the ball well up and down the lineup. It was a lot of fun to get to eight runs in the second game and get some very important NESCAC wins."
