The Short Story:
Despite strong pitching and defensive performances, the Ephs were unable to generate anyoffensive momentum, falling 2–0 in the opener and 1–0 in the second game. Pitcher Sadie Leonard continued their hot streak, throwing their twelfth double-digit game of strike outs thisseason.
Coach's Take:
"At the plate we need to be tougher outs. That's really it. Our pitching was really good and kept us in both games but our offense just wasn't able to get the job done."

How it Happened

Sadie Leonard notched 12 strikeouts and only allowed 3 hits, despite the loss, Leonard kept the Ephs within striking distance throughout the game.

Wesleyan jumped ahead in the bottom of the third 2–0 with an RBI triple to left center followed by a run-scoring single up the middle.

The Ephs offense was largely quiet, but kept the Cardinals offense at bay with a strong defense
