WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- Molly Craig, a 2022 graduate of Williams College and former member of the Ephwomen's swimming and diving team, has been honored with the prestigious NCAA Winter Postgraduate Scholarship for the 2024–25 academic year. This award recognizes her outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program, established in 1964, awards $10,000 to student-athletes who have excelled in their sport, maintained high academic standards, and demonstrated leadership and community involvement. Each year, 126 scholarships are distributed across three seasons—fall, winter, and spring—with 21 scholarships awarded to men and women per season.
During her time at Williams, Craig was a standout swimmer, contributing significantly to the team's success. A two-time 400 individual medley NCAA champion, her dedication to the sport and commitment to academic excellence have set her apart as a role model for future student-athletes.
Steve Kuster, head coach of the Williams swimming and diving teams, praised Craig's work ethic and leadership. "We are thrilled to see Molly be awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Molly represents the very best of what it means to be a scholar-athlete — driven, compassionate, and committed in every aspect of her life." Kuster added, "Her impact on our team, the Williams community, and beyond has been profound, and we couldn't be prouder of all she has accomplished."
Craig's earning of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship underscores the high standards upheld by Williams College's athletic programs and the caliber of its student-athletes. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to current and future Ephs, demonstrating that excellence in athletics and academics can go hand in hand.
