GREENWOOD, INDIANA – Four members of
Dan Greenberg's 2024-25 Williams Men's Tennis Team have earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors. The Ephs compiled a 9-7 team record this year. To be honored a player must possess a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.50 and be at least a sophomore.
Senior captain
Shawn Berdia is a Psychology major from McLean, Virginia. Berdia was 9-4 in singles play and 10-3 in doubles this past season. In his career Berdia has compiled a 35-21 record in singles and is 43-23 in doubles play. He is a Psychology major and he completed an honors thesis.
Junior
Nicholas Chen who hails from Oakland, California was 7-6 in singles play and 10-3 in doubles this year. In his career Chen is 25-10 in singles and 38-10 in doubles play. He is an Economics and Computer Science major.
Senior captain
Andrew Chong from Phoenix, Arizona was 4-5 in singles play and 4-5 in doubles play this year. In his career he is 18-21 in singles and in doubles play he is 20-14. He majored in Art and Economics.
Junior
Simon Volkema is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and he went 8-4 in singles and 5-8 in doubles this year. In his career Berdia sports a singles record of 36-14 and he is 35-35 in doubles play. He is majoring in Art and Economics.
