Women's Crew: Andersen and Davis earn At-Large honors on CSC Academic All-District team

Andersen and Davis were members of the 2023 NESCAC Championship-winning team.

GREENWOOD, Ind. - After powering the 2024-25 Williams College women's crew program to a second-place team finish during the NCAA Division III Championship, Maddy Andersen '25 and Ellie Davis '26 were honored as At-Large selections on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by the CSC organization, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Andersen and Davis garnered NESCAC All-Academic Team accolades is the spring of 2024 and 2025, while Davis also earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete laurels in each of the last two seasons. The two outstanding student-athletes were members of the 2023 Ephs' team that won the NESCAC Championship for the first time since 2016.

Andersen, MaddyAndersen, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, was a member of the third varsity eight boat that finished second and earned a silver medal during the 2025 National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC)/NESCAC Championship. She also collected first-place honors with her third varsity boat during the Skidmore Sprints on April 5 and Little Three Championship on April 19.

Davis, who is originally from Villanova, Pennsylvania, collected NESCAC All-Conference Second Team accolades during the 2024-25 season. This spring, she was a focal part of the first varsity eight boat that earned a runner-up finish and grabbed a silver medal during the grand final at the national championships. Along with her teammates, Davis finished second in the first varsity eight competition, earning a silver medal during the grand final at the 2025 NIRC/NESCAC Championship. During the 2023 NIRC/NESCAC Championship, Davis and her teammates placed first among conference opponents and second overall during the grand final of the first varsity eight race.

It was a strong 2024-25 season for the Ephs, as captain Isabel Mikheev '25 was named the CRCA Division III Athlete of the Year and a First Team All-American. Mikheev and captain Abby Murphy '25 were recognized on the NESCAC All-Conference First Team.
