SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Williams was in control from start to finish, as the Ephs' volleyball team earned a second straight 3-0 win to open the season, topping SUNY Geneseo on Friday night.
Similar to Tuesday night's win over Skidmore, a number of different student-athletes made contributions for the Ephs, who jumped out to a lead of 9-3 and later 15-4 in the opening set to take control of the match, ultimately winning the first, 25-12.Â
The second and third sets proceeded in similar fashion, with the Ephs hitting well and taking advantage of Geneseo attack errors to maintain the advantage. Both sets finished 25-14 in favor of Williams.
Tatum Baker (8 kills), Kate Lane (7), Lilly Fox (6), and Chi Obi (5) led the team offensively, set up by Lilly Carstens (14 assists) and Morgan Daetz (13). Eve Kaplan had 14 digs and a total of 14 different Williams' student-athletes contributed to the victory.
The match was the first of three for the Ephs at the 2025 Skidmore Classic, as the team will face SUNY Oneonta on Saturday at noon, followed by a match against Nichols College at 2 p.m.
