MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Williams Ephwomen kicked off their 2026 championship season with the Middlebury Invitational.
Charlotte Brawer led the charge for the Ephs, wrapping up her 2025-2026 season very strongly. The Middlebury Invitational has three sessions across two days - one on Friday evening and two on Saturday. This meet also has 11 dives on the boards, mimicking NESCACs.
The meet opened on Friday with the 200 freestyle relay with a strong swim from the Williams A relay, featuring
Maggie Farley (24.57),
Irene Yang (24.48),
Sophie Phelps (23.19) and
Emma Dimter (23.92). Following the relay were the 50s of stroke.
Emma Dimter had a stellar 50 butterfly, touching in a 26.26. The 200 IM was highlighted by
Anna Doherty touching in 2:09.62. She was followed closely by
Esme Van Orden (2:10.48).
Bernadette Ramoy had a strong 50 breaststroke, touching in a 31.19.
Charlotte Brawer was also under 32 seconds posting a 31.93. In the 50 freestyle,
Sophie Phelps almost dipped under the 24 second barrier, touching in a 24.01. Emma DImter was just behind in 24.34.
The meet on Friday concluded with the 400 Medley Relay and the 1000 freestyle. The Williams B relay of

Brielle Gold (1:10.85),
Lily Codd (59.93) and
Isabel Espinosa (54.42) narrowing beat the Williams B relay of
Clementine Robins (1:01.04),
Charlotte Brawer (1:07.66),
Irene Yang (59.76) and
Anna Doherty (54.74). Notably,
Charlotte Brawer had an exceptionally fast breaststroke leg.
In the 1000,
Maggie Farley took first with an impressive 10:46.46. She swam a strong race start to finish, despite normally swimming shorter events. She was accompanied by
Azmera Gebre, who posted a 11:10.52, notably faster than her time against Middlebury and Hamilton last weekend.
On the diving front,
Ashley Loh took first place by almost 100 points, scoring 435.36. This was an 11 dive meet for Loh, and her performance was highlighted by very strong voluntary dives.
