Senior goaltender
Erin Pye made 32 saves for the Ephs (15-3-5, 8-3-4 NESCAC). Williams currently sits in third place in the NESCAC standings with 30 points, as the top-four seeds host a first-round playoff game on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Goalie Sarah Peterson made 35 saves for the Polar Bears (11-11-0, 5-10-0 NESCAC). Molly Cataldo opened the scoring for Bowdoin at the 5:31 mark of the first period.
Sophomore forward
Charlotte Fetherston stole the puck in the neutral zone, and then buried a shot into the left side of the net from the right faceoff circle, evening the game at 1-1 with 17:24 remaining in the second. A goal by Bella Schifano with 7:53 on the scoreboard sent Bowdoin into the third period with a one-goal advantage.
Noxon won a puck battle, and then slid a pass to junior defender
Celine Mayer at the right point. The puck found its way onto the stick of first-year defender
Reese Luber at the left point and she netted a power-play goal to knot the game at 2-2 with 17:38 on the clock in the third.
Noxon came through in another big moment later in the third, as she stole the puck in the Polar Bears' defensive zone during a clear attempt. Rosenberg did the rest, as her initial attempt was saved, and then she scored on a backhand shot off the rebound for a 3-2 lead with 14:54 remaining.
The Ephs held a 38-34 advantage in shots on goal, while going 1 for 4 on the power play and killing off all three Bowdoin attempts on the advantage. Williams poster a 30-28 effort on faceoffs, as senior forward
Leah Rubinshteyn went 12-10 and Fetherston finished 7-4.
The Ephs close out the regular season on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game against Bowdoin at Lansing Chapman Rink, as Williams can finish anywhere between second and fifth in the conference standings.
