Alpine competes at UVM Carnival as skiing earns 7th place

STOWE, Vt. - The Williams College Alpine ski team competed at the UVM Carnival this weekend, with several individuals earning critical points as the Ephs earned another 7th place team finish.

Chloe Lathrop and Eliza Sullivan were strong again in the slalom, finishing within half a second of each other in 15th and 16th place. In the men's slalom race, Cooper Iacobelli finished 18th, with Jack Hunter and Simon Baron also earning important points.

The Ephs had a tougher time with the GS, with only Iacobelli (17th) and Ashley Anderson (29th) finishing, each pushing to the finish to earn points for Williams in the overall standings.

Williams captured 7th place overall in the Carnival, the final race before the Ephs come home to host their first Carnival since 2024 next weekend. The Nordic events will be taking place at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vt., and Alpine is at Jiminy Peak in Hancock, Mass.
