Anthony Lim of the No. 18-ranked Williams College men's tennis team emerged victorious in singles and doubles action Monday afternoon, as the Ephs defeated Chapman, 5-2, at the Erin J. Anderson Tennis Center.
The Ephs remain undefeated during the 2026 season, improving to 5-0 overall, while the team also holds a 3-0 record in the NESCAC. Williams won 2-of-3 doubles matches to secure the one point, as Chen and senior captain
Simon Volkema earned a 6-1 victory at the top position, and then Lim and sophomore
Robert Cooper Jr. won by a score of 6-2 during the third slot.
The Ephs went 4-2 in singles action against the Panthers (5-8, 0-2 SCIAC). Chen won a three-set match, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, during the second position. First-year
William Luke (7-5, 6-1), Lim (6-2, 6-4) and sophomore
Jack Ling (6-4, 6-2) won at the third, fourth and sixth positions, respectively.
The Ephs will compete against No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Thursday at 6 p.m. Pacific Time in Claremont, California.
