Ayanna Varma won in singles and doubles action for the No. 20-ranked Williams College women's tennis team during a 6-1 triumph against Salisbury Wednesday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
The Ephs (6-2, 2-1 NESCAC) won all three doubles matches to earn the one point over the Sea Gulls (9-2). Varma and Ladaga won a competitive 7-5 match at the top position, and then Lin and Zhang cruised to a 6-2 win at the second slot. During No. 3 doubles, first-year

Mia Roets did not lose a single game in a 6-0 victory.
Williams won 5-of-6 singles matches, as Zhang (4-6, 6-1, 10-7), Varma (6-2, 6-0), Ladaga (6-0, 6-1), sophomore
Ellie Stark (6-4, 6-0) and Lin (6-1, 6-1) won at the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
Ladaga stayed perfect in singles action this semester, improving to 6-0, while Varma has compiled a 7-1 mark. Ladaga, Roets and Varma all improved to 5-3 in doubles competition during the 2026 season.
The Ephs will compete at No. 35 Haverford on Friday at 3 p.m.
