CLAREMONT, Calif. - The No. 21-ranked Williams College men's tennis team went 3-3 in singles action against No. 17 Pomona-Pitzer Friday, but the difference was that the Ephs claimed the one doubles point by winning two of the three matches en route to a 4-3 victory at the Pauley Tennis Complex.

William Luke emerged victorious in singles and doubles action for the Ephs (6-1, 3-0 NESCAC) during the victory over the Sagehens (9-9, 3-0 SCIAC). During the top doubles position, senior captain
Simon Volkema and Chen earned a 6-4 triumph, and then during the second slot, Luke and sophomore
Carter Fayard won, 7-6.
Chen (2-6, 6-4, 6-2), Luke (6-2, 6-4) and first-year
Anthony Lim (7-6, 6-3) won at the second, third and fourth singles positions, respectively.
The Ephs compete at No. 25 University of Redlands Saturday with a 3Â p.m. Pacific Time start from the Coach Jim Verdieck Tennis Center.
