Julia Zhang of the No. 15-ranked Williams College women's tennis team earned victories in singles and doubles action Saturday, as the Ephs suffered a 5-2 setback against No. 20 Tufts on the Voute Courts at the Tufts Tennis Center.
The Ephs (8-5, 2-3 NESCAC) won 2-of-3 doubles matches to earn the one point over the Jumbos (10-2, 5-2 NESCAC). Junior

Jane Ladaga excelled in the clutch, earning a 7-5 tiebreaker win to claim the set by a score of 7-6.
Zhang won in a highly competitive match at No. 3 singles, as she dropped the first set, 6-7 (5-7), and then rebounded by winning the second set, 6-4. During the decisive third set, she earned a thrilling 10-8 tiebreaker victory, capturing the set by a score of 7-6.
The Ephs compete against Trinity on Sunday at 11 a.m. in Hartford, Connecticut.
