BRUNSWICK, Maine - Juniors
Julia Zhang and
Ahn Lin of the No. 19-ranked Williams College women's tennis team earned victories in singles action during a 5-2 setback against No. 17 Bowdoin Saturday at Pickard Tennis Courts.
The Polar Bears (10-6, 7-2 NESCAC) won all three doubles matches to earn the one point, and then emerged victorious in 4-of-6 singles matches.
Zhang won at the No. 3 position for the Ephs (10-7, 4-5 NESCAC), 7-5, 6-3. Lin also won in straight sets during No. 6 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5). Zhang has compiled a mark of 11-5 in singles competition this semester.
The Ephs compete against No. 44 Colby Sunday in Waterville, Maine, with the start time being 10 a.m. if the match is indoors and 11 a.m. if the event is outdoors.
