WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – The Williams College Track & Field program earned three major honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as the organization announced its Division III Mideast Regional Awards on Thursday, May 28
th.
First-year standout Uly Junker was named the USTFCCCA Division III Mideast Region Men's Field Athlete of the Year after a historic season in the long jump. Junker became the Williams school record holder with a mark of 7.41m (24' 3.75") at the NESCAC Championships, where he earned the conference title and broke the previous program record. Junker was also named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year following his impressive first-year debut. He concluded his season competing at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships, finishing 19th overall in the nation.

Stephanie Mauer earned USTFCCCA Division III Mideast Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year honors for the first time in her career after leading a successful season for the Eph middle-distance runners. Under Mauer's guidance, three Williams athletes qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships. The group recorded national finishes of 14th place in the steeplechase, 11th place in the 1500m, and 9th place in the 800m. The season was also highlighted by a new school record in the men's 800m and seven Top 10 finishes at the NESCAC Championships.
Dusty Lopez was named the USTFCCCA Division III Mideast Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year, marking the second outdoor regional assistant coaching honor of his career after previously earning Men's Assistant Coach of the Year recognition in 2022. Lopez has also been named Assistant Coach of the Year three times during the indoor track & field season.
During the 2026 outdoor campaign, Lopez coached eight individual national qualifiers along with the women's 4x400m relay team at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships. Williams produced four podium finishes nationally, including an individual national champion in the women's 800m. Throughout the season, the Ephs also broke six school records in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m, steeplechase, 4x400m relay, and 4x800m relay under Lopez's direction.
