HADLEY, Mass. - After going 17-6 in singles action during the 2025-26 season and powering the No. 22-ranked Williams College women's tennis team to its 28th NCAA Division III Tournament appearance, first-year
Ayanna Varma garnered All-NESCAC Second Team Singles honors Wednesday morning from the conference office.
Varma's 17 victories in singles action were the most on the team in 2025-26. During the spring semester alone, she went 14-4 during singles competition.
The Livingston, New Jersey, native went 6-0 at the fourth position and 5-2 at the second slot. From March 8-April 3, Varma emerged victorious in eight consecutive singles matches.
The Ephs (11-8, 5-5 NESCAC) will compete against SUNY New Paltz in NCAA first-round action Friday on the campus of MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. If the match is outdoors it will start at noon and if the match moves indoors it will not start before 3 p.m.
