KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After hosting first and second-round action during the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament in Williamstown, Massachusetts, the Williams College women's soccer team was recognized with a No. 10 ranking in the 2026 United Soccer Coaches preseason poll Tuesday afternoon.
Last year, the Ephs finished with a 13-2-5 overall record and a 7-1-2 mark in the NESCAC. The program returns an abundance of talent, as the 2026 season begins with a 10 a.m. conference game against Bates on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Cole Field.
Rising junior
Elizabeth Stophel was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Fourth Team and All-Region I First Team, while also taking home NESCAC All-Conference First Team honors in 2025. Rising sophomores
Maya Lloyd and
Lucy Carrel were named to the All-Region I and All-NESCAC Second Teams, while Lloyd also garnered the conference's Rookie of the Year laurel.
Williams has won NCAA Championships in 2015, 2017 and 2018, while also earning national runner-up honors during the 2014 season. The Ephs are tied for first in the NESCAC with eight conference titles.
