WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Junior Eli Welch has been named the NESCAC Runner of the Week following his individual victory at Middlebury's Aldrich Invitational on Saturday.
Welch captured the 8K title with a time of 25:40.3, leading the Ephs to a first-place finish in the team standings. Williams scored 21 points and placed seven runners among the top 10 to claim the team championship.
Welch's honor marks a sweep for Williams in this week's NESCAC cross country awards, as teammate Kate Tuttle earned NESCAC Runner of the Week honors on the women's side following her individual victory at the Aldrich Invitational.
