Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

#13 Ephs Suffer First Loss of Season at No. 21 Colby, 1-0

The Williams College women's soccer team is 3-1-0 in the NESCAC

WATERVILLE, Maine — After posting three consecutive shutout NESCAC victories to open the 2026 season, the 13th-ranked Williams College women's soccer team fell short, 1-0, at No. 21 Colby Saturday at Mark R. Serdjenian Field.

"It was a tough result today on the road," said seventh-year head coach Sarah Raymond. "We had much of the possession and most of the chances, but we did not take care of them. Colby is a strong team and found a way. We brought tremendous intensity in the last 15 minutes to try to equalize and had a few goal-mouth scrambles, but they just did not go our way."

The Mules (4-1-0, 2-1-0 NESCAC) tallied the game's lone goal during the 62nd minute. Mia Sullivan played a long ball into the 18-yard box, and then Abigail Jarvi was able to win the ball on her way to blasting a shot into the left side of the net.

Williams held a 10-4 advantage in total shots, to go along with a 7-1 lead in corner kicks. Bria Abbiati, Lily Mark and Elle Long finished with two shots, respectively.

The Ephs compete against Bowdoin Sunday at 2 p.m. in Brunswick, Maine.

"It is a quick turnaround," said Raymond. "We need to refocus and be ready to compete at our full capacity tomorrow against another competitive NESCAC team in Bowdoin."
