WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Williams men's tennis (1-0) swept
non-conference opponent Skidmore (0-1) today in their fall season
opener.
The Ephs gave an impressive performance in their first match under
new head coach David Donn, not dropping a single set to the
Thoroughbreds. Strong doubles play helped jump start the Ephs to
the shutout victory.
Coach Donn, who took over this fall for long-time head coach Dave
Johnson, said of the outing, "Everyone played well. It was
nice to go out and get our first win. We are trying to have a
high intensity fall season and this is a positive step."
Williams will try to take their next step at the Dartmouth Shootout
on September 21.
