CLINTON,
NY. – Williams men's tennis (16-3, 6-2)
recovered quickly from a disappointing loss to Middlebury yesterday
with a 9-0 romp over Hamilton (4-10, 0-6) early this
afternoon. The Ephs
were commanding on all fronts, losing only five games total in
doubles play and taking all six singles matches in dominant
fashion.

Weinberger and Kevin Shallcross, doled out 8-2 blows to their
Hamilton counterparts at courts one and three, respectively. Nick Lebedoff and Will
Petrie showed no mercy at court two either, posting an 8-1 win.
The Ephs continued to cruise through singles
play with a new lineup. Senior Rick Devlin appeared at
number one singles for the first time this year, defeating Gret
Kreitzer, 6-2, 6-1.
Similar results continued down the lineup. Petrie and Shallcross won their
matches at courts two and three, 6-2. 6-2. Furmaga was bumped up to four
singles, and played an easy 6-1, 6-1 match. Thacher and Ari Binder rounded
out the lineup with straight set wins.
“I think we are really happy with our
regular season,” said Ephs' head coach Dave Donn.
“We are looking forward to hosting NESCAC's next
weekend.”
The Ephs will host the NESCAC tournament
beginning this Friday. The first round will be played
at 9:00 a.m., with the championship match set for Sunday, May
