Williams broke the tie in the 60th minute in the second half when Charlie Romero received a ball from Peter Christman and beat the keeper to put the Ephs up 2-1. RPI countered in the 73rd minute when Andrew Tambasco chipped a ball behind the Williams defense to Jake Tonkel who drilled the ball into the right side of the goal. It was Tonkel's second goal of the match.

Overall the Ephs outshot RPI 18 to 5, and had 16 corner kicks compared to 5 for RPI. RPI keeper Alex Penny had 6 saves in 90 minutes of play.

The win was a much needed victory for the Ephs after Saturdays defeat to Bowdoin College. Coach Russo was particularly proud of his team for the way they responded after the loss.

"I thought we played with intensity, commitment, and resilience," remarked Coach Russo, "I was interested in seeing how we responded after the tough loss to Bowdoin. We gave up two goals, but I am very pleased with the result and how we responded."

The Ephs will return to play Saturday when they travel to Medford to battle Tufts University.
