Said Ephs' coach Pat Manning, "Chessie had an incredible weekend. The defense she is playing is making her offense even better, and she is not forcing any shots because they are just coming to her in the flow of the offense."
Taylor Shea also scored in double figures with 12 points. For Wesleyan the leading scorers were Sam LaCroce with nine points and Kendra Harris with seven.
Williams took control of the game from the very beginning. The Ephs opened the game on an 11-0 run that was capped by Jackson three-pointer which forced a Wesleyan timeout with 15:48. Shea and Jackson combined for all 11 points in the run.
Wesleyan came out of the timeout and ended its scoring drought with Sam LaCroce hitting a three. Wesleyan's Jenna Klaes had a good stretch, driving past her defender and making a layup then coming back on the next possession and draining a three.
