WILLIAMSTOWN-- The Williams Men's Tennis team concluded their regular season Saturday with a 7-2 win over Bates.
Williams held a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Felix Sun and Trey Meyer had a commanding 8-1 victory at number two, and Will Petrie and Kevin Shallcross had a slightly closer margin of victory, taking their match 8-5.
The Ephs were able to carry the momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches. Matt Micheli won a close three-setter 6-0, 4-6, 6-2. Bryan Chow had an easier time of it, taking his match 6-0, 6-2.
"Today was a good finish to the regular season. We had great fight in doubles and strong finishes in singles all the way down the line. I think we're all excited to start preparing for the post-season," commented head coach Dan Greenberg after the match.
Williams will begin post-season play next weekend.
