WILLIAMSTOWN––Williams opened its fall season with
an 8-1 win over NESCAC foe Wesleyan. The Ephs and Cardinals have
been playing against each other since 1910. Williams leads the
all-time series 85-4-3.
Williams, led by juniors Bryan Chow and Richard Meyer, won all of
their doubles matches. Junior Felix Sun, a 2011 All-America,
defeated Wesleyan's Jeff Legunn 6-4, 6-3. The Ephs'
loss came at the No. 3 singles between Stephen Monk and Matt
Micheli, with Monk winning 7-6(2), 7-5.
The team hosts the USTA/ITA New England Regional tournament
September 23, 24, 25.
