HADLEY, MASS. – The New England Small College Athletic Conference announced the 2022 Women's Rowing All-NESCAC Teams. The 10-member squads are comprised of individuals from the league's eight teams and based on each team's finish at the NESCAC Championship held on May 8 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
Eph seniors
Liz Ostermeyer and
Grace Goodall have earned All-NESCAC Rowing honors. Both Ephs were honored for the first time by the conference with Ostermeyer being named to the First Team and Goodall being named to the Second Team.
The season is not done yet for Eph head coach
Carolyn Miles and her Varsity 1 and Varsity 2 boats as the Ephs will be one of the eight teams competing for the NCAA DIII Rowing Championship later this month.
The NCAA championship will be held May 27-28 at the Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, hosted by the University of Central Florida and Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy.
For 2022, the championships will be composed of eight teams. Each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and a coxswain. The following are the berths that are allocated: Pool A – four (Pool A consists of conferences that have been awarded automatic qualification); Pool B/C – four (Pools B and C include independents, institutions from conferences that do not meet automatic-qualification standards and Pool A institutions that did not receive their conference's automatic qualification.).
