RESULTS
BOSTON, MA - On Sunday, January 29, the Men's Track and Field team traveled to Boston to compete in Middlebury's New England Small College Invitational at the TRACK at new balance. The Ephs contended against fellow NESCAC schools, beginning the day with the sprinting events.
Jacob Cohen '24 started off the meet as Williams's sole runner in both the 60m dash and the 60m hurdles, where he placed 15th and 9th, respectively. Later on in the day, he also ran the 200m dash, this time alongside many of his teammates.
Jackson Davis '25,
Bryce Cooper '26, and
Jack Davis '24 finished 6th, 7th, and 8th in this event, with
Cooper Desmond '24 and
Nolan Holley '23 filling out the rest of the field. Williams was similarly successful in the 400m dash.
Jackson Davis and
Bryce Cooper took the top two spots in times of 49.52 and 49.74 seconds.
Oscar Newman '25 had a strong return from injury by securing the 5th spot with 49.99 seconds.
Adam Roupas '23 was not far behind, coming in at 50.77 seconds.
The mid-distance runners had strong performances as well. In the 800m,
Jinwoo Kang '24 finished 2nd with a time of 1:54.27 and first-year
Zachary Liu-Walter '26 placed 7th in 1:55.08.
Oliver Hall '23 rounded out the Williams contingent in this event. In the mile,
Elias Lindgren '23 and
Nate Lentz '24 took the top two spots with 4:08.10 and 4:11.21, putting them at 4th and 16th across all of Division III.
Luke Tichi '24 had a strong return from injury, as did
Reed Putnam '23 as they finished this event with first-year
Leo Cooper '26 and senior Russel Blakey '23.Â
In the 3000m run,
Charles Namiot '25,
John Lucey '24, and
Nikhil Denatale took 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, followed by
Grant Gattuso '23 and
Victor Cazabal '25. The Ephs secured tops spots in the 5000m run, too, with
Simon Kissam '23,
Will Spollen '23, and
Jacob Lehmann Duke '24 finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 6th, just ahead ofÂ
Bradley St. Laurent '26 and Pat Thevany '24.
Williams continued to do well in the jumps.
Andrew Williams '24 won the high jump. Earlier in the day, he had competed in the long jump alongside
Jeremy Bertolet '24, who finished 9th in that event. Bertolet was also the only Eph triple jumper, where he finished 3rd overall. At pole vault,
Sam Riley '23 extended his streak of high bars by clearing 4.75m, earning 2nd place.
Aidan Casey '24 set a lifetime best with 4.45m, placing him 6th.Â
Nick Canora was the only thrower for Williams, competing in shot put and weight throw, where he threw 13.05m in the latter event.
Williams was quite fast in their relays. The 4x400m relay consisting of

Jack Davis,Â
Zachary Liu-Walter, and
Bryce Cooper finished 5th in a time of 3:26.75. The distance medley relay, ran by Lentz, Liu-Walter, Kang, and Lindgren won the event, finishing in 10:07.96. This is the 3rd fastest time across Division III this year.
Williams will not compete next weekend, but will return to Boston on February 11th to compete at BU and MIT.
