Claremont, CA – Williams men's tennis followed up their win over Chapman with a 6-3 victory over Pomona-Pitzer. The Ephs took a 2-1 lead after doubles and won four out of six singles matches. Sophomore

Matt Kandel fell behind early 3-1 but rallied back to win seven straight games. At the 2 spot, first year duo of
Nicholas Chen and Shuler forced a tiebreaker after being down a break. The first years played a smart, aggressive tiebreaker to win the match 8-7(2). First year
Simon Volkema and Berdia fell 8-3.
In singles, Kandel raced to a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Volkema and Berdia bounced back with straight set wins. Shuler played an impressive 6-1, 6-4 match at the 3 spot. After winning the first set, Cohen fell in three.
The Ephs will face CMS at 5 PM PDT.
