Box Score WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Williams (1-0, 1-0 NESCAC) and Trinity (0-1, 0-1 NESCAC traded first quarter goals as Williams opened the scoring when Cal Caputo scored off a feed from
Pearse Glavin at 14:08.
Trinity's Andrew Bailey tied the game at one when he scored off a pass from Jon Krikorian to tie the game at one all.
The Ephs Finlay McKnight gave the Ephs a 2-1 lead at 9:57 in the first quarter when he notched an unassisted goal.
The Ephs then scored the next three goals to take a 5-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Two of the goals were unassisted tallies by
Jesse Shapiro and Cal Caputo scored his second goal of the contest.
In the second quarter the Ephs rattled off five more unanswered goals to take an 11-1 lead into halftime.
Cade Schuckman netted three goals,
Spencer Goodbar and Cal Caputo contributed one each.
In the third quarter the Ephs scored the first three goals with
Spencer Goodbar, Finlay McKnight, and
Nick Bates all scoring unassisted boosting the Eph lead to 14-1.
Trinity's Jon Krikorian ended the Eph string of consecutive goals at 7:52 assisted by Harrison Ike.

Pearse Glavin scored a man-up goal off a pass from
Ryan Johnson to give the Ephs a 15-2 advantage.
After Trinity's Connor Sullivan scored unassisted for the Bantams to make the score 15-3
Zachary Romrell closed out the Eph scoring with Cal Caputo getting the assist to give Williams a 16-3 lead.
Trinity netted the final 3 goals of the contest to make the final score 16-6.
Trinity goalie Cooper Yaccineo made 22 saves and allowed 16 goals while Eph netminder Matt Freitas had 14 saves and allowed 5 goals and
Matt Wetmore had four saves and allowed one goal.
Eph head coach
George McCormack noted post-game, "We were excited to start our season and this was a good way for it to start with a NESCAC win. We had a lot of guys play and contribute today, so that was good to see."
Next up for the Ephs is a road contest Wednesday March 8 at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. at 6:00 PM.
