Waterville, ME – Williams men's tennis concluded their trip up to Maine with a 7-2 victory over Colby. The Ephs jumped out to a strong start on all three courts. Senior

Matt Kandel continued their dominant form at the 1 spot with an 8-2 win. Sophomore

Jason Shuler bounced back after a defeat against Bowdoin yesterday with an 8-2 win of their own. Despite holding a lead for most of the match, sophomore
Andrew Chong and first year
Simon Volkema were defeated in a tiebreaker 7-1.
The Ephs were tested in the beginning of the singles play. However, the tide turned towards the end of each singles set. Cohen maintained a break advantage throughout the entirety of the first set and cruised during the second. Kandel claimed an impressive 6-1, 6-0 victory at the 2 spot. After breaking late to win the first set 6-4, Shuler cruised to a 6-2 in the second. Berdia was clutch towards the end of both sets, winning each set 6-3. After winning the opening set 6-4, Chong rolled in the second set to win 6-4, 6-0. Volkema was defeated in straight sets at the 5 spot.
The Ephs will finish up NESCAC play next weekend as they take on Hamilton and Amherst.
