RESULTS
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- This Saturday, the Williams Track & Field competed in their first home meet of the season. The Ephs descended on The Lee Family Track in the morning to celebrate and honor the senior members of the team.

William Spollen '23 all received recognition for their commitment to Williams Track & Field.
In the sprints,
Jack Davis '24 won the 100 meter dash in 10.80 seconds, followed close behind by
Jacob Cohen '24 in 11.14 seconds and Hashemi in 11.83 seconds. The 200 meter dash saw Williams take all top three spots.

Jackson Davis '25, and
Jack Davis finished in that order with times of 22.08 seconds, 22.16 seconds, and 22.28 seconds.
Cooper Desmond' 24 and Holley were not far behind, crossing the line in 23.65 and 24.48 seconds, respectively. The longest of the sprint events, the 400 meter dash, had
Oscar Newman '25 as the only Eph competing. He won the event in a personal best time of 48.48 seconds. The 400 meter hurdles finished with
Bryce Cooper '26 taking home first place in a time of 57.32, with his teammate Cohen coming in fourth with his time of 1:02.68.
Williams had a strong showing in the middle distance events, too. In the 800 meter run,
Zachary Liu-Walter '26,
Leo Cooper '26,
Luke Tichi '24, and
Oliver Hall finished in 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th, clocking times of 1:57.73, 1:59.38, 2:00.17, and 2:01.18. In the 1500 meter run, Ephs comprised ten of the 13 competitors.
Jacob Lehmann Duke '24, Gattuso,
Rick Yanashita '26, and Chris Ratcliffe '24 took the top four spots in 4:06.59, 4:06.90, 4:08.02, and 4:08.56.
Luke Zanuck '26, Putnam, Blakey, and Sarkar also filled out the Eph-heavy field, joined by their non-distance runner teammates Hashemi and
Joseph Kouame-Waldman. In the 5000 meter run, Spollen secured first place with his 15:23.75 time, followed by
Bradley St. Laurent '26 and Hartigan.
In the field events, the highlight of the day was Riley breaking yet another school record in the pole vault, securing first place with his clearance of 4.85 meters, from a shorter approach than usual no less.
Aidan Casey '25 locked in third by clearing 4.10 meters. At the high jump,
Andrew Williams '24 calmly took one single jump, clearing 1.75 meters to achieve the NESCAC Championship qualifying mark while mitigating his risk for reinjury. In the long jump,
Jeremy Bertolet '24 won the event with a leap of 6.46 meters. Kouame-Waldman and Hashemi teamed up once again to take on this event, jumping 5.52 meters and 5.43 meters.
In the throws,
Nick Canora '26 won the shot put with 12.85 meters, with Hashemi finishing sixth with a 9.19 meter toss. This duo also had a good day in the discus throw, with Canora finishing second with a 37.32 meter throw and Hashemi with a personal best 30.19 meter throw. Their teammate, Anderson, also had a personal best throw of 33.42 meters, earning him fourth. In the hammer throw, Canora put out a mark of 43.83 meters, earning second overall.
The Ephs will travel to Conn. College next weekend to compete in the NESCAC Championships.
