WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – George McCormack's Williams men's lacrosse team (9-4/6-4 NESCAC has been seeded third in the NESCAC Tournament and they will host the Trinity Bantams (8-7/5-5 NESCAC) on Saturday April 29
th at 1:00 PM.
Williams, Amherst, and Bowdoin finished with identical conference records of 6-4. In head-to-head competition, Williams went 2-0 to earn the No. 3 seed, Amherst went 1-1 to earn the No. 4 seed, and Bowdoin went 0-2 to earn the No. 5 seed.
Williams downed Trinity 16-6 back on March 4 in their season opener on Farley-Lamb Field.
Calvin Caputo opened the scoring the regular season contest versus Trinity in a man-up situation with
Pearse Glavin assisting on the goal.
Trinity's Andrew Bailey tied the game at one converting off a feed from Jon Krikorian just over two minutes after the Caputo goal.
The Ephs responded in a big way to the Bailey goal as they rattled of 13 consecutive goals to register a 14-1 lead at the 8:35 mark of the third quarter.
The Eph attack was led by
Calvin Caputo who scored 3 goals and assisted on 3 goals.
Bailey and Krikorian each scored 2 goals for the Bantams.
