RESULTS
BOSTON, MA -- This past weekend, a select few members of the Men's Track & Field Team traveled to Northeastern University to compete in the NEICAAA Championships. Over the course of Friday and Saturday, the Ephs put up impressive marks, scoring in multiple events and setting two new school records.
Sam Riley '23 set the first of the two school records in the pole vault, clearing 4.95 meters to improve upon his own previous outdoor record of 4.85 meters. This mark currently sits at 9th across all of Division III.
Elias Lindgren '23 set the second of the two school records. In the 5000 meters, Lindgren ran 13:58.80, a new NEICAAA Championship meet record and Williams school record. This time is currently 5th across Division III. Behind him were his teammates
John Lucey '24 in 4th,
Simon Kissam '23 in 8th,
Will Spollen '23, and
Grant Gattuso '23.
In the other distance events,
Jackson Hartigan '23 ran the 10000 meters in 32:47.28,
Nate Lentz '24 placed second in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:48.14, and
Jinwoo Kang '24 placed 7th in the 800 meters in 1:52.63.
Jack Davis '24 was the lone sprinter at the meet, competing in the 100 meters and the 200 meters. In the shorter of the two, he ran 10.79 seconds in the preliminary heat to qualify for finals, where he ran 10.90 seconds to claim 8th. In the 200 meter dash, he just missed out on finals by one spot, running 22.19 seconds.
The Ephs return for their final home meet of the season on Wednesday, May 17th.
