WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- Four members of
George McCormack's Williams College men's lacrosse team that advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament have earned Academic All-New England honors from the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
To be honored a player must:
1) Have been a senior or graduate student in the 2023 season
2) Must have a CUMULATIVE grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale (not rounded up)
3) Must have been a starter or significant contributor on the field
2023 honored Ephs:
Ian Di Pietro – Long Stick Middie – New York, N.Y. – History & Psychology
Matthew Freitas – Goalie – East Weymouth, Mass. – Political Science
Owen Roegge – Short Stick Defensive Middie – Bethesda, Md. – Economics & English
Zachary Romrell - Middie – Danville, Calif. – Computer Science & Mathematics
Di Pietro, Roegge and Romrell also earned NESCAC All-Academic honors this season and Di Pietro was accorded College Sports Communicators All-District recognition.
