Saratoga, NY – The Williams Men's golf team finished T2 at the Skidmore Invitational this weekend, which was held to just one round due to rainy conditions on day two.
Sophomore
Alex Moller finished second in the individual standings with his day one round of even par 72. Moller was just one shot back of St. Lawrence's Ben Scholes and Skidmore's Tate Esler, who both finished at 1-under par 71.
Eph head coach
Josh Hillman commented on Moller's performance: "Alex has realized that his game is as good as anyone's right now and his confidence is growing. I would expect him to continue to get better this year and really show us what he is capable of."
Hillman also commented on the shortened weekend for the team: "This weekend was a big step in the right direction. Every one of the guys battled and fought hard, this finish was a total team effort. It took a little bit to get our feet under us this fall and with the hard work and extra efforts the team has put in it is starting to show. We are a very solid team and the whole group is starting to recognize that. If we keep pushing each other, we will keep getting better. The fall season is a season to learn what works and what doesn't. I see a lot of good things in our future and we are excited to compete Tuesday at the Sap Bucket Matches in VT."
The Ephs cap off their season on Tuesday at Ekwanok CC for the annual Sap Bucket Matches.
