Men’s golf finishes in fifth at Skidmore’s Tim Brown Invitational

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - The Williams College men's golf team turned in a strong second round to finish in fifth place of 17 teams at the Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College on Saturday and Sunday.

Owen Barber and Alex Moller turned in the best individual scores for the Ephs, both carding +5 on the weekend and tying for 12th place in the individual rankings. Hunter Justice had the best individual round, shooting a 1-under 70 on Sunday, and Nick Smith and Jack Estrella also contributed solid rounds to the team score.

The Ephs finished with a team score of 591 over the two rounds, six shots ahead of Hamilton College, and four strokes behind both Skidmore and Trinity. NYU won the tournament with a 584.

Williams will visit the Bethpage Red Golf Course next weekend for Farmingdale State College's Spring Invitational, followed by the Little Three Championship hosted by Amherst on Tuesday, April 21. The NESCAC Championship will be held from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at Fox Hopyard Golf Club near Trinity.
