Men's Track and Field has Six First-Team All-American Finishes at NCAA Championship

Myrtle Beach, SC — On Saturday, May 25th, 2024 the Williams Men's Track and Field finished the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championship. The Ephs competed in the 1500m finals, 5k, and 4x400m relay finals. 

Nate Lentz '24 placed 8th in the 1500m running a time of 3:52.95 to earn 1st Team All-American. In the 5k John Lucey '24 finished with a time of 14:52.76 and Charles Namiot '25 was close behind with a time of 15:00.58. To close off the meet the team of Jack Davis '24, Asa Shepard '27, Bryce Cooper '26, and Oscar Newman '25 competed in the finals of the 4x400m relay and placed 8th with a time of 3:13.51. This earned them 1st team All-American.

Out of the 8 Eph men who competed in the national championship, t6 came home as 1st team All-Americans. This All-American includes one national champion with Jackson Anderson '24 winning the decathlon. This is a strong end to a solid year for the Ephs, after two seasons (winter and spring) with many personal bests and breakthroughs among all of the team.
