Kelly McGuigan Named NESCAC Softball Player of the Week

HADLEY, MASS. -- Senior catcher/infielder Kelly McGuigan has been named the NESCAC Softball Player of the Week.
 
This week McGuigan went 8-of-14 batting (.571), with five RBI, three runs scored, two home runs, and two doubles in a 3-1 week for the Ephs.
 
In a 7-5, 14-inning loss to RPI, in a game that started on April 9 at Williams and finished on May 1 at RPI, McGuigan went 4-of-5 batting, with three RBI, one home run, two doubles, and one run scored. The senior hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th, which extended the game and knotted the score at 3-3.
 
In a doubleheader sweep of NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan on Saturday McGuigan went a combined 3-for-6 in the batter's box, with two RBI, one home run, and one run scored.
