WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - After reaching the NESCAC Championship game, the No. 10-ranked Williams College women's soccer team earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament, as the Ephs will host first and second-round action during the national tournament Saturday and Sunday at Cole Field.

The Ephs (12-2-4, 7-1-2 NESCAC) will compete against John Jay (11-2-3, 4-0-0 CUNYAC) in the first round Saturday. The other first-round matchup Saturday features No. 20 Vassar (16-3, 8-1 Liberty League) and Mary Washington (12-3-4). The winners will meet in the second round of the regional on Sunday. All game times are to be announced.
The Ephs, who won NCAA Championships in 2015, 2017 and 2018, defeated four ranked opponents during the 2025 season, including No. 4 Amherst, 1-0, on Sept. 13, No. 20 Wesleyan, 1-0, on Oct. 11, No. 10 Middlebury, 1-0, on Oct. 28 and No. 12 Middlebury, 2-1, on Nov. 8.
Williams has been led by the superb one-two punch of sophomore
Elizabeth Stophel (6 goals, 9 assists, 21Â points) and first-year
Maya Lloyd (8 goals, 2 assists, 18Â points). Stophel is tied for first in the NESCAC in assists, fifth in points and eighth in goals, while Lloyd is tied for fifth in goals. First-year
Lucy Carrel has found the back of the net six times, which is tied for eighth in the NESCAC. Three three outstanding student-athletes have combined for eight of the team's 12 game-winning goals this season. Senior goalkeeper
Margaret Huelin has 10 individual shutouts and one combined shutout on the season.Â
John Jay earned an automatic bid into the national tournament, winning its fifth CUNYAC title in the last six seasons. The Bloodhounds have been led by Ava Lopez (9 goals, 1 assist) and Natalie Mack (5 goals, 7 assists).
Vassar also received the automatic qualifier, winning the Liberty League Championship for the first time in program history. Ava Holman (10 goals, 3 assists) and Gianna Panarelli (9 goals, 3 assists) have led the charge for the Brewers. Mary Washington has been led by Maci Landel (9 goals, 9 assists).
