COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - For the third consecutive season, senior captains
Kiki Higgins and
Pilar Torres of the Williams College field hockey team were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region II First Team.
Higgins and Torres have also been named to the NESCAC All-Conference First Team in three straight years from 2023-25. Higgins was recognized as the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2022. This fall, both student-athletes were named to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team.
During their illustrious collegiate careers, Williams has qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament all four years and advanced to the Final Four twice.
"For the third straight year, both Kiki and Pilar have been named First Team All-Region, an extraordinary achievement that speaks to their consistency, competitiveness and impact on the game," said head coach
Alix Barrale. "For both, this three-year streak reflects more than talent, it reflects discipline, leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence. This honor simply confirms what we already knew, which is they are two of the best players in the region year after year."

On Oct. 27, Higgins was named NESCAC Player of the Week, and two days later, she was honored with NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week laurels.
Torres tallied five goals, four assists and 14 points this season. She found the back of the net twice, including the game-winning tally, during a 4-0 triumph against Colby on Sept. 27 at Williamson Field.
