Ephs ready for 2025-26 indoor season

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College women's indoor track & field team is ready for a new journey, as the Ephs begin their 2025-26 season on Saturday, Dec. 6, with a pair of meets in Boston.

The team competes in the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at the Track & Tennis Center and the New Balance Opener at The Track at New Balance.

"Everyone is excited for the season ahead," said head coach Nate Hoey. "Fall training has gone really well and there has been an engaged energy and intention from the end of last year, which has continued to build momentum throughout the fall. While we always aim to chase big goals, our focus remains on being present in the day to day and enjoying this journey with the team. We are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead this season."

The Ephs are scheduled to compete in 11 meets this winter, including the Division III New England Championship on Feb. 28-March 1 at The Track at New Balance, the AARTFC Indoor Championships on March 6-7 at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York and the NCAA Division III Championship on March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Alabama.

The Ephs' 2025-26 roster is comprised of 44 returning student-athletes and 11 newcomers. The returners are seniors Ziann Facey, Ellie Fitzgerald, Amelie Jamanka, Livi Mazerolle, Katerina Papachela, Charlene Peng, Fiona Picone, Ella Sukup, Kate Swann, Greta Vaughn and Eliana Zitrin, juniors Hayley Ballard, Julia Brennan, Tamar Byl-Brann, Megan Chester, Rafaela Delgado Carpio-Rivero, Cate Donaldson, Morgan Eigel, Anne-Sophie Frederick, Helen Hurden, Claire Jensen, Bella King-Harvey, Vivian Koles, Jordan Liss-Riordan, Mariem Sayahi, Caitlin Striff-Cave and Kelsey Tarby, sophomores Uma Champe, Alice Culver, Hannah Cumming, Alex Eremenko, Maria Fareti, Clara Gahm, Mireya King, Ella Kirkwood, Olivia LaBelle, Aurora Lewis, Mirembe Mubanda, Lia Navon, Maggie Nichols, Annika Paluska, Hannah Prokup, Kate Tuttle and Lily Yampolsky.

The first-year class features Eliza Ayres, Ellice Bledsoe, Ella Buoncuore, Audrey Cheng, Linnea Cox, Jenni Flynn, Estella Laird, Ginger Long, Vivienne Namiot, Hannah Thomas and Becca White. The assistant coaches include Mike Blair, Barb Grossov, Dusty Lopez, Stephanie Mauer and Marisa Turner.

During the 2024-25 season, Paluska (800 meters), Tuttle (mile), Fitzgerald (pole vault) and King-Harvey, Paluska, Jensen and Donaldson (4x400-meter relay) earned All-American First Team honors at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship. King-Harvey (400 meters), Byl-Brann (5,000 meters) and Liss-Riordan, Sukup, Yampolsky and Nora Johnson '25 (distance medley relay) earned All-American Second Team recognition.
