Women's Track and Field Compete at Harvard Invite and John Thomas Terrier Classic

CAMBRIDGE, MA – The Williams College women's track & field team was back in action Friday and Saturday, sending competitors to both the Harvard Invitational and the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University.

Bella King-Harvey led the Ephs on the track with a sixth-place finish in the 200 meters in 25.46 and a runner-up performance in the 400 meters, clocking 56.71. In the mile, Uma Champe recorded a personal-best time of 5:22.49 to place 25th overall. Greta Vaughn recorded a personal-best in the 500m with a time of 1:27.10 to finish in 13th overall. 

In the distance events, Helen Hurden finished 12th in the 3,000 meters at 10:26.30, followed by Linnea Cox, who crossed in 11:05.02. In the 5,000 meters, Alice Culver placed sixth in her event debut with a time of 18:38.54, Eliana Zitrin secured eighth with a personal-best 18:41.64, and Vivienne Namiot finished 17th in 19:36.71.

In the field events, Audrey Cheng cleared 3.40 meters to finish fourth in the open pole vault, while Ellie Fitzgerald placed eighth in the invitational pole vault after clearing 3.65 meters. Eliza Ayres finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.39 meters, and Maria Fareti recorded a personal-best throw of 16.34 meters to place fifth in the weight throw, while also finishing ninth in the shot put with a mark of 11.79 meters.

At the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University, Livi Mazerolle placed third in the open 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.55, while Hannah Thomas finished ninth in the same event in 10.09. 

In the middle-distance events, Annika Paluska recorded a ninth-place finish in the open 800 meters, crossing in 2:10.90, while Jordan Liss-Riordan posted a personal-best time of 4:59.14 in the mile.

In the distance events, Kate Tuttle finished 40th in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best time of 9:39.08. Morgan Eigel and Charlene Peng also recorded personal-best performances in the event, finishing in 9:44.86 and 9:46.82, respectively.

No team scores were kept at the meet, as the Ephs now turn their focus to the BU Valentine Invitational and the Tufts Cupid Challenge on February 13–14.
