WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - All coaches preach the importance of peaking at the optimal time.
The Williams College women's track & field team certainly achieved that goal, as the Ephs recorded seven All-American performances in individual events and two All-American efforts in team-oriented relay events during the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship on March 14-15 in Rochester, New York.
The program is looking to use that positive momentum to ignite its outdoor season, which begins on March 21-22 during the Emory Spring Break Classic in Atlanta, Georgia.

"I am looking forward to transitioning to the outdoor season," said first-year
Kate Tuttle. "We just wrapped up indoor track & field with a strong national meet and I cannot wait to see everyone build on that success this spring. The people and friendships on this team are amazing and make running for Williams so worthwhile. As we start the spring season, our teammate
Alex Kemp remains at the top of our thoughts. We miss him so much, but his incredible friendship and love for the team and running inspire us every day."
During the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championship, Williams placed seventh overall out of 66 teams. Senior
Rachel Arthur took home All American First and Second Team laurels, respectively, in the 200 and 60 meters. Tuttle (1 mile) and first-year
Annika Paluska (800 meters) excelled on the big stage, earning All-American First Team recognition in their respective events. Junior
Ellie Fitzgerald garnered All-American First Team honors in the pole vault, while sophomores
Bella King-Harvey (400 meters) and
Tamar Byl-Brann (5,000 meters) were named Second Team All-Americans.
In the team events, King-Harvey and Paluska, along with sophomores
Claire Jensen and
Cate Donaldson, achieved All-American First Team praise in the 4x400-meter relay. Sophomore
Jordan Liss-Riordan, junior
Ella Sukup, first-year
Lily Yampolsky and senior
Nora Johnson posted a Second Team All-American finish in the distance medley relay.
During the 2024-25 indoor season, Williams also placed first out of 28 teams during the Division III New England Championship on Feb. 28 and March 1 at The Track at New Balance in Boston, Massachusetts.
This spring, the Ephs will compete in the Raleigh Relays (March 27), Emory Thrills in the Hills (March 28-29) and UMass Flagship Invitational (April 12). The NESCAC Championship will take place on April 26 at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Williams will host back-to-back meets, with the Farley Inter Regional on May 9 and 10 and the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championship on May 14 and 15. The UMass Amherst Final Qualifier occurs on May 15, and then the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship is scheduled for May 22-24 at Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.Â
"We are excited for the outdoor season," said head coach
Nate Hoey. "We get to be together as a single team again, practicing in the same location at the same time. Just last week, we had our first session with everyone outdoors together and we could feel the energy. It was awesome. That presence with each other and connection is everything for us. We all cannot wait to continue this journey together."
During the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championship, Arthur (100 meters), Fitzgerald (pole vault) and current juniorÂ
Livi Mazerolle (heptathlon) earned All-American Second Team honors. King-Harvey, Donaldson, Arthur and
Camryn Taylor '24 competed in the 4x100-meter relay, as they achieved a First Team All-American performance. Donaldson, Taylor, Jensen and King-Harvey also received First Team All-American accolades in the 4x400-meter relay.

"I am incredibly excited for the spring season," said Arthur. "The team leaves for Atlanta this weekend for two meets to take advantage of some warmer weather to hopefully get some great early season marks. Some of the keys in having a successful outdoor season is keeping everyone healthy. With track being such a long in-season sport, the bodies start to feel the toll by the time the outdoor season comes around. If the team remains healthy, I think the women's team has a great shot at winning the NESCAC Championship this year. We have incredible depth across events."
